Paint for the Kids!

To add splashes of vibrant colors on the dreary walls of a preschool classroom.
Because we believe it would help stimulate the child's imagination, learning and cognitive development.

Day 1: Straight from work, we headed and sailed towards Tubigon, Bohol. The classroom we were about to create a mural paint was situated at a local school in a remote hometown of Leigh's father in Inabanga, Bohol. The project was planned and organized by Leigh over a year ago and finally it has come to a reality.
Just right after supper, we started cleaning the clutter in the area and did the base coat. It was a lot harder than I thought.
It took us 2 exhausting hours before we called it a night.
Day 2: Before our other friends could arrive later in the morning, we went ahead with the mural painting. Our goal was to do everything in just one day. And by the thought of it made me feel anxious. Leigh tasked me to create the lay out for the back drop and honestly, I had not constructed a lay out design because I was used to creating things spontaneously. Though I went over and browsed the internet the previous night just to muster some ideas, I did not have a vivid picture of what we should create.
I started to fret about getting everything done before the sun sets. However, as the time went by and with the help of my committed friends who devoted tirelessly in this project, we were able to accomplish our goal! ;)
After a few options, the teacher decided she preferred the 'Jungle' theme.
Portrayed sweet and dainty looking animated animals to add a charming feel. ;)
Numbers and the alphabet across the dainty side of the wall. ;)
 The beautiful aftermath.
After a very long and demanding day, we treated ourselves with grilled eats, mild booze and great laughters throughout the entire night.
Nothing beats a sleepover with such cool and chaotic friends like them DDGs. ;)
Day 3: We just could not leave Bohol without having to take a dose of the sun, sand and sea of Panglao island.
I have never been so proud of my girls (and boys) ;).
Because WE ROCK! \m/

13th Zodiac Sign

(November 30 - December 17)
So is it true? or is it a hoax?
Well apparently, it's true.
And actually, I am one. ;)
by Betty Matteson Rhodes

he constellation, Ophiuchus, has been known since ancient times, and is better known as Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder. It  is included in the list of 48 constellations described by Ptolemy. Ophiuchus is depicted as a man handling a serpent; his body dividing the large snake into two parts, giving way to the symbol used today as an Asclepius - the medical staff.
Astrologers have not included Ophiuchus in the wheel of Astrological signs because the Sun spends only about nineteen days in this 13th sign of the Mazzaroth. Not that there wasn't a 13th sign in the Heavens, but as far as Astrologers were concerned, the Sun traveled from the constellation 'Scorpius' and then proceeded directly into the sign of Sagittarius. In reality, this was not the case. The Sun, for 19 days of the year, travels through the star constellation 'Ophiuchus' before entering Sagittarius from Scorpius - see chart below. thus  The sign of Ophiuchus is patterned after the original 'Serpent Holder',Enki, a Sumerian god.
he signs of the Zodiac are for the most part, the highway, or path on which the Sun takes it's yearly journey across the heavens -  as it would appear to Earthlings. These signs are actually star constellations occupying space in which the Sun appears to travels in an earth year. The original twelve signs/constellations: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces are quite familiar to everyone, however, the thirteenth sign and constellation, [Ophiuchus], is in fact, not well known.  To acknowledge a 13th sign now would seem awkward for astrologers, who like the tidiness of 12 signs that rule over the 12 houses of the Zodiac. The heavens are alive and they do change after a few thousand years and the astrologer who wants to maintain accuracy must change along with the signs in the heavens.
he constellation of Ophiuchus is the only sign of the Zodiac which is linked to a real man. This man lived in ancient Egypt around the 27th century BCE, and his name was Imhotep [again patterned after Enki]. Many of the same attributes of Imhotep can also be found in the Biblical Hebrew man Joseph, son of Jacob - [see comparison chart for these two men in separate article].  Imhotep is credited with many accomplishments including the knowledge and use of medicine.  It is said of Imhotep that he brought the art of healing to mankind. The symbol of a serpent [or snake], which is still widely used today to represent the medical profession, was used to represent Imhotep.  Imhotep was also known as 'Aesclepius' to the ancient Greeks, but by any name the attributes are still all the same. The attributes listed below describe the Serpent Holder, Imhotep, i.e. the Hebrew Joseph, and Aesclepius. The keyword descriptions seen below, originated with Betty Rhodes, and are the attributes for the 13th sign of the Zodiac - Ophiuchus:

Boracay. Oh La La!

Summer just got better and better. Despite the strong winds and incessant rain showers, we managed to have a blast in the gorgeous island of Boracay! Though we were deprived by our chances to experience the islands' water sports, we diverted our attention to mouth watering delights instead. Breakfast buffets were superb! If you have noticed any slight bulging in our bellies, blame it to; shawarma rice, la paz batchoy, buffets, Jonah's milkshakes, Bite Club's burgers, buffets..  . wait did I mention buffet? haha ;)
Screw protuberant tummies, we courageously donned our bikinis and   took pleasure of the sand, sea and the marvelous sunset!
It's okay Mr. Sun, we still had the time of our lives, but hell yeah, we missed you badly ;(
To wrap up our Boracay sweet escape, we beach partied on a Saturday night for the first (and last time maybe, haha). Ladies and gents have gone Wet and Wild! Like literally.
